Mercurius, a striking 8-year-old KWPN gelding by Ibolensky out of a Dulf van den Bisschop mare, was sourced and sold by Bridl in July 2025 to Haytham Gaber in Morocco. Standing over 171cm, he combines scope, rideability, and a rare calm focus that makes him both amateur-friendly and competitive at higher levels. Already consistent at 1.35–1.40m, Mercurius shows every sign of being able to progress toward 1.45m and beyond.
The pair’s next step will be the prestigious Royal Tour of Morocco, where they will compete across venues including Tetouan, Rabat, and El Jadida. This celebrated series attracts international riders while spotlighting Morocco’s growing role in the global showjumping calendar. Our Bridl team will be on site to support Mercurius and Haytham, following their progress closely and celebrating the partnership’s development in real time.
For Bridl, this moment is also a reflection of our growing presence in Morocco. The country has quickly become an important hub for our community of buyers and riders, with a discerning market that values horses combining quality, rideability, and potential for top-level sport. Over the past year, we’ve seen an increasing demand from Moroccan clients for horses that can deliver both reliability for ambitious amateurs and capacity for international competition.
Mercurius is a perfect example of that balance: carefully selected to suit his rider while offering long-term potential. His success underscores Bridl’s mission to match the right horses with the right riders, building partnerships that thrive in the ring and beyond.
As Mercurius and Haytham continue their journey, we look forward to sharing updates from the Royal Tour of Morocco and to supporting more riders across the region in the months ahead.
