Montparnasse is a 2017-born dark brown KWPN gelding, currently competing at 1.30m level, and bred from a distinguished performance pedigree. He is sired by Chapeau TN, a stallion by Clearway out of Vuttion VA (by Quintero)—a line known for producing athletic, scopey jumpers with excellent technique.

His grandsire Clearway competed successfully at Grand Prix level and descends from Capitol I, one of the most influential sires in show jumping history. This lineage is celebrated for producing horses that excel at 1.55m–1.60m level, combining power, balance, and rideability.
