Client profile
An experienced adult amateur rider based in the United States is looking for a safe, quality competition horse suitable for hunters and/or jumpers. The rider is approximately 6ft tall and prefers horses with sufficient height, frame and presence. The main objective is to find a comfortable, reliable partner with excellent rideability, a sensible temperament and enough quality for the American hunter or jumper divisions. The buyer values good flatwork, a forgiving jumping attitude and a willing, naturally forward horse that remains easy to manage. A versatile horse capable of competing in both hunters and jumpers would be ideal, while three-ring potential would be a significant advantage. The buyer is open to travelling throughout Europe to try suitable horses.
Bridl note
"We are actively looking for a tall, safe and reliable hunter or jumper for an experienced American amateur rider. The ideal horse should have enough size and frame for a 6ft rider, excellent rideability and a genuinely amateur-friendly temperament. A little natural motor is preferred, but the horse must remain straightforward, forgiving and comfortable to ride without being overly hot or strong. For hunter candidates, the goal is to compete in the 3'6" divisions. A horse capable of competing in both hunters and jumpers would be especially interesting, with three-ring potential an added bonus. The buyer particularly loves Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve breeding and also appreciates Selle Français and Landanum bloodlines. However, the right temperament, suitability and overall feeling are more important than pedigree. Good veterinary results and minimal maintenance requirements are preferred. The target purchase price is approximately €40,000–€45,000, with a maximum overall budget of $75,000 USD including commission, shipping and import costs. The buyer is flexible with travel and willing to visit suitable horses throughout Europe."
