"Safety is the absolute priority. The ideal horse should be extremely straightforward, easy to ride, uncomplicated to manage and suitable for the American hunter market. For hunter types, the target is approximately $50,000–$80,000 landed in the US. The buyer can also consider 1.20–1.30m jumpers around $100,000 landed, provided they are safe, genuine and do not have a stopping tendency. Young horses between 4–7 years old are of particular interest. The buyer is also open to unconventional sourcing. A dressage horse with good movement, a quiet brain and enough jumping ability could be considered if it has realistic potential to become a hunter."
