Looking for a young horse with serious future potential. Ideally 5-7 years old, with significant scope, power, a very good canter and the athletic ability to develop toward Grand Prix sport. Green horses and diamonds in the rough are welcome when the underlying quality is exceptional.

Experienced professional buyers focused on importing, developing and reselling quality horses into the US market. They understand young horses and are comfortable taking production risk when the horse shows genuine athletic ability and significant upside. They are willing to source throughout Europe, including less traditional markets, and do not require a polished international record. The priority is identifying horses before their full value has been realised.

Must have

  • Genuine scope
  • Very good canter
  • Brave
  • Sound
  • Athletic ability suggesting serious future level
  • Must have a standout quality
  • Clear potential beyond its current level
  • 5-8

Nice to have

  • Exact current competition level
  • International record
  • Amount of production
  • Pedigree if the athletic quality is undeniable
  • Location
  • Green/inexperienced horses
  • Technique imperfections if compensated by exceptional scope and power

Deal breakers

  • ❌ Limited scope / obvious ceiling
  • ❌ Weak or poor-quality canter
  • ❌ Unsound horses
  • ❌ Horses without enough athleticism for serious sport
  • ❌ Ordinary horse being priced as an elite prospect
  • ❌ Horse whose value is based only on pedigree/results rather than ability
  • ❌ Significant lack of bravery
  • ❌ No obvious standout quality or upside
  • ❌ Fully priced horse with very little room for future value creation
"This is a value-driven search rather than a search for a finished horse. Current results and production level are secondary to raw ability. The horse needs to have something noticeably special, whether that is exceptional scope, power, athleticism, canter or overall feel. They will spend substantially for the right horse, but at the higher end of the budget there must be clear Grand Prix potential and meaningful future commercial value."
