Top female professional rider based in Belgium seeking an uphill, athletic, and competitive 3* Grand Prix horse aged 8 to 13. Budget of €400,000 to €500,000, with trials taking place next week.

Must have

  • A top-quality horse capable of being competitive at 3* Grand Prix level
  • Ideally already competing successfully at this level or clearly ready to step into it
  • Between 8 and 13 years old
  • Naturally uphill build and way of going
  • A horse with blood, energy, and competitive instinct
  • Enough scope and quality for technical 3* Grand Prix tracks
  • Careful, athletic, and quick off the ground
  • A horse that stays responsive and sharp throughout a course
  • Good rideability and adjustability
  • Competitive against the clock, not only capable of jumping the height
  • A horse with the mentality to perform consistently at international shows
  • Suitable for a very accurate professional rider
  • Ideally a commercially attractive horse with future resale or partnership potential

Nice to have

  • Mare, gelding, or stallion
  • The horse can have blood and character, as the rider is experienced
  • The horse does not need to be suitable for an amateur
  • Open to a horse currently competing slightly below 3* Grand Prix level if the quality and potential are clearly there
  • Open to horses that still need some development or production with the right professional rider
  • Results do not need to be perfect if there is a logical explanation and the horse shows genuine top-level ability
  • Open to commercial partnerships, co-ownership, or alternative ownership structures
  • Location can be flexible for an exceptional horse, although horses available to trial efficiently next week will be prioritised

Deal breakers

  • Downhill or flat way of going
  • Lacking blood, responsiveness, or competitive energy
  • Not enough scope for 3* Grand Prix level
  • Slow, heavy, or difficult to adjust around technical tracks
  • A horse that is consistently careless
  • Significant rideability issues that would prevent consistent performance
  • A horse that lacks the mentality or confidence to compete at international Grand Prix level
  • Serious veterinary concerns that could affect the horse’s ability to perform at this level
  • A horse without realistic sporting or commercial value within the proposed budget
  • Horses that are not available to trial or assess within the required timeframe
"The buyer is a top female professional rider based in Belgium. She is highly experienced, accurate, and capable of riding a horse with blood, energy, or some character. She is commercially minded and may be open to partnerships, co-ownership structures, or horses with strong future resale potential."
